My name is Marine, I am 27 years old and I live in Finistère, in Brittany. Elfenn Clothing is a young ready-to-wear brand imagined and designed in my Workshop. I am influenced by many different styles ranging from fantasy to fantasy to Celtic and Nordic history.
Since I was little I have a real passion for manual work, I can't go a day without making something with my 10 fingers. Growing up I quickly liked to dress differently and not respect the codes of fashion.
It is therefore evident that I oriented my studies towards sewing in order to dress as I see fit!
Elfenn Clothing was born in my mind during the summer of 2019. I was then working in a fabric store, which is certainly linked to my passion for sewing, but I did not spend enough time behind my sewing machine.
The project has matured and since January 2020 I only work part time and I can finally devote myself more to my brand and its evolution.
THE BRAND
“Elfenn” means element in Breton, when I was looking for my name this word immediately spoke to me and seemed obvious. On the one hand because I can link it to the element of the earth which is a source of inspiration as much in my creations as in my daily life. And on the other hand because it has a consonance with the word "Elf" for my passion for the fantastic universe.
To represent this name I chose to use the symbol of the earth in alchemy that I remodeled in the image of the brand with branches and a needle.
